Sam's Club was the first major company to provide a grant to the Mary Lee Taylor Foundation for Single Mothers. Our partnership with Sam's Club was established at the grassroots level with Store Managers and their teams emulating Mrs. Helen Walton's words: "It is not what you gather but what you scatter tells what kind of life you have lived." The relationship with Sam's Club has expanded to Walmart and is 5+ years of continued support that has afforded The Mary Lee Taylor Foundation for Single Mothers the opportunity to embrace and enhance numerous families in multiple communities.

Our partnership with Christner's Prime Steak & Lobster, formerly known as Del Frisco's, has been the lifeblood in every way imaginable for the Foundation. The founders Russ & Carole Christner viewed their restaurant as "just a humble little Steakhouse" that has over a quarter-century-long relationship with our Founder Corey Rolle. Today, David & Alice Christner have continued the legacy of success at Christner's and became the first restaurant to establish a robust partnership with the Foundation. Our partnership with Christner's Prime Steak & Lobster has impacted thousands of lives.
“During the spring semester of 2025, we served an average of 7,300 student visits per month and anticipate more than 70,000 visits by year’s end, highlighting the critical need for consistent food donations. Thanks to Corey’s generous contributions, we have been able to provide fresh food to thousands of students who rely on our support.” -Jeannie Kiriwas, Associate Director, Student Union at the University of Central Florida.
Through a partnership between the Wellness Center and Christner’s Prime Steakhouse, weekly food donations are made to the Mary Lee Taylor Foundation for Single Mothers, strengthening assistance for single mothers in the community. This collaboration also fostered an expanded partnership with the UCF Knights Pantry, which distributed 13,584.5 pounds of food between March 24, 2025, and November 19, 2025—including 7,668.6 pounds of produce, 1,907.5 pounds of bread and bakery items, 1,964.7 pounds of cold items, 1,240.9 pounds of frozen goods, and 805.6 pounds of nonperishable items—significantly increasing food access for those in need.
In July 2025 alone donations from the Mary Lee Taylor Foundation exceeded 3,300 pounds. As an average figure from month to month the year looking forward, we project around 50,000 pounds of food donated to the community. Together, these partnerships are not just providing meals—they are creating stability, restoring dignity, and ensuring that no student or single mother in our community has to face hunger alone. In addition to supporting college students and families, the Foundation also extended its impact last year by donating food and resources to students and faculty at Gateway High School in Kissimmee, employees of Fox Rent A Car in Orlando, and several churches throughout the community, further expanding its reach to those in need.
The foundation serves single mothers across Orange, Seminole, Lake, Osceola, and Palm Beach counties, providing support to families throughout these regions. Among the single mothers served, the majority are hidden figures, having strong educational backgrounds, with 75% holding at least a bachelor’s degree, 25% having earned a master’s degree or higher, and 5% achieving a doctorate. This reflects the foundation’s work with highly motivated women who are pursuing stability and opportunity for themselves and their families while balancing the responsibilities of single parenthood.
